Southwest Welcomes Boys in Blue to First Street

The 1st District police station house has officially moved to a former elementary school in the 100 block of M Street SW. The school was converted into a 21^st-century police station over a period of seven months. The first new police facility in Southwest in more than a decade, this new station is more centrally located in Southwest, and will allow police to store more evidence and offer more space for community interaction.
